Here at Lost Bay, we are personally invested in your helicopter experience. We aren't employees of a faceless corporation. We are a small, passionate, local business, and can't wait to take you flying! Come see us!

Nate Stenzel

Flight Instructor/Tour Pilot

Helicopter CFI-I, Nate served 8 years with the Army National Guard as an 11B Infantryman “Bullet Catcher”, including deployments to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, and to Kosovo for a peace keeping mission—but failed to soak up any lead! He then earned his AAS Professional Pilot from Lake Superior College in Duluth, MN. Hailing from the Midwest, he’s thrilled to finally be defrosting down here at the beach. If you want to know how much this nerd really loves helicopters, he even spends his spare time assembling and flying RC aircraft! So if you want to learn to fly, Nate’s your guy!

Luke Horan

Lead Pilot

After serving two deployments over 4 years with the United States Marine Corps to Iraq and Syria, Luke returned totally unscathed by crayon poisoning. He then graduated from SUU in Cedar City, UT with an Associates Degree in Aviation Technology and his commercial pilot certification. He loves fishing, his cat (creatively named Kitty), and his hometown team the Houston Texans--not in that order.  Semper Fi!

Rachael Hamilton

Owner

The brains of the operation, Rachael is the only non veteran in our organization (makes sense). Instead, she took the easy way out, attending Vanderbilt University and graduating with degrees in Economics and Psychology. With experience in corporate operations and sales, she's responsible for everything that's not flying the helicopter, or defending the country. Anchor Down, ‘Dores!

James Williams

Owner

Helicopter CFI-I, James served 4 years in the United States Army as a Military Police Soldier, including a tour in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A Purple Heart recipient, he has literally bled red, white, and blue. Dry and prickly by nature, he received his flight training at Guidance Aviation in his home state of Arizona. Following that, James worked as a flight instructor and Safety Program Manager at Guidance Aviation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He is fluent in Marine jargon. Rah!
